LGMC Group Music Lessons

We are enrolling new students for the 2018 Autumn Term to take up one of our music classes that happen after school in the evenings from 5pm - 7pm.

MUSIC CLASSES

Level 1 Beginners Piano/Keyboard

Our Successful keyboard course that has been built over 8 years will engage students from 7 years old to learn about

-the features of the piano/keyboard,

- how to operate & set up a keyboard,

- Notes on the piano & piano fingers

- Playing my first melodies with both hands such as, Here I am to worship, Our God is greater, and many more

- An Introduction to music sight reading/transcribing

Level 1 Junior Beginners Keyboard

Children as young as 4 years old will love this course as they go straight into learning how to play basic melodies. This course is more practical than theoretical to keep students engaged. Students will learn about;

- Piano finger numbers

- Identifying and naming notes on the piano

- Playing my first melodies such as, Here I am to Worship, Our God is Greater, Mary Had a little Lamb, and many more

Beginners Rhythm Acoustic Guitar Course

Students who love to tap out rhythms, or love funky groves, or adore guitar sensations such as Israel Houghton will enjoy this course. This course will cover;

- Features of a guitar

- Notes on a guitar

- My first chords - C, G, D, A, & E

- Introduction to Rhythms (Theory)

- My First Guitar Rhythm accompaniment to songs such as, Here I am to Worship, and many others

Beginners Dum Course

Majority of students who walk through our doors run straight to the drums and just want to hit out the toms and cymbals. If you or your child finds themselves spotting out or beat boxing out the groove of a song, then you must register for this course

This course will cover;

- Basic Parts of a Drum Kit & their purpose

- Introduction to Timing (Time Signatures)

- Hand & Feet Isolation exercises

- Introduction to basic 4/4 grooves on the Kick, Hi-hat, and Snare

- Playing together with other band instrumentalists
